The Lost Stroke

CAMPAIGN
The Lost Stroke is a campaign that merges poetic expression with environmental activism. Drawing on the visual elegance of Chinese calligraphy, the campaign centers around the character “竖” (Shù), symbolising both "vertical strokes" and "trees”. As deforestation accelerates due to climate change, each missing stroke in the poem reflects a vanishing tree—visually and metaphorically representing ecological loss. The poem unfolds into a mountain-forest landscape, where fragmented characters mirror the fragmented forests we are losing. By blending typography, landscape imagery, and traditional Chinese poetry, The Lost Stroke creates a poignant visual narrative that highlights the urgency of forest conservation and invites reflection on what is disappearing—stroke by stroke, tree by tree.
I am a passionate Graphic Designer who began my design journey at LASALLE in 2021 and later furthered my studies at RMIT. Over the past few years, my design skills have continuously evolved, and so has my way of thinking. One thing that has remained constant is my curiosity—I am always eager to explore new ideas, trends, and perspectives. I approach design not just as a skill, but as a way of expressing and connecting with the world. Proficient in a wide range of design software, I’m able to translate creative concepts into visually compelling work across different media. My curiosity and adaptability allows me to stay fresh, think critically, and grow both as a designer and an individual.
