States of Matter is a self-guided grief journal designed to support individuals as they process and navigate the complex emotions of loss. Rooted in sensory engagement, the journal uses interactive exercises based on the five senses: sight, sound, touch, taste, and smell, as therapeutic tools to encourage healing beyond words. Each section is thoughtfully curated to help users connect with their emotions, memories, and surroundings in a meaningful way. By engaging the senses, the journal creates space for reflection, remembrance, and personal expression, offering gentle prompts and coping strategies that adapt to the reader’s own pace and needs.

With a focus on the intimate and often unspoken aspects of grief, States of Matter becomes a multi-sensory memorial space, quietly comforting and deeply personal. It offers an alternative approach to traditional journaling, guiding users through a journey of healing by helping them rediscover presence, memory, and connection in the everyday.
Hi! I'm Sanjana, a multidisciplinary designer whose work blends advertising, graphic communication, and illustration elements. My creative practice is driven by a bold and playful approach, often infused with alternative pop culture, humour, and subcultural references that add layers of meaning and personality to my designs. I'm deeply intrigued by the charm in the ordinary, capturing quiet moments of significance and drawing from them as a rich source of visual language, trends, and cultural dialogue.

My passion for addressing social issues also informs much of my work, resulting in thoughtful, expressive pieces that aim to spark reflection and conversation. Whether crafting a visual identity, a campaign, or a conceptual piece, I bring a unique perspective that bridges aesthetics with relevance, making my work visually engaging and culturally resonant.
